What is the current status of nozzle research?

The main methods of nozzle research are experimental methods and numerical methods.

Cold simulation test method is the main test method in cold conditions with water, air and other media simulation experiment for spray measurement using PDA optical instruments, to study the flow characteristics of the nozzle, atomization and mixing characteristics. In the study of nozzle properties under the condition of hot test is through a transparent window to achieve visual observation of combustion flow field downstream of the nozzle, shooting process nozzle flow and combustion in the image of the droplet movement and distribution of information through the optical component.

With the development of CFD technology, numerical simulation of atomization process has become an important new research method. In the flow by numerical simulation method to solve the problem of the nozzle, the key issue is to establish an accurate description of the liquid medium deformation process, effects of liquid and gas and liquid process into discrete process and liquid droplet droplet in the process of spatial movement model. The computational grid and the computational model are reasonable, and will directly affect the calculation results.

After years of research by many scholars, the working process, performance laws and preliminary atomization laws of nozzles have been mastered.
